The Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA) is seeking nominations for two positions on its dynamic and dedicated Executive Board. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified physician associates to contribute their expertise, energy, and passion to drive the profession forward during a significant period of change.

The FPA board is led by President Jamie Saunders and Vice President Chandran Louis. The Board plays a pivotal role in advocating for and advancing the PA profession at the national level. Board members work closely with the FPA team to support members, shape policy, and champion high-quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support to FPA members on clinical practice and professional development matters.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of key events and activities for the membership.
  • Attend quarterly Board meetings (both in-person and virtually).
  • Participate in additional projects, campaigns, and workstreams as agreed by the President.

In order to be eligible and nominate yourself, you must be a qualified FPA member and actively engaged in the profession, demonstrate a commitment to supporting the PA community and a track record of relevant experience.

Other attributes required include strong communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.

You must be able to commit to a four-year term (commencing March 2024). Self-nominations are welcome and must be seconded by another FPA member. Applications require a CV, declaration of interest form, election statement, photograph, and employer confirmation of release for meetings.
